What is Low-Fi?

Low-Fi is a browser-based audio compilation editor built for lo-fi and ambient creators. You import tracks, arrange them on a timeline, add crossfades and ambience, and export the finished mix — all without installing anything.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Low-Fi runs entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. Chrome and Firefox are both well-supported.

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Free gives you complete access to the editor — you can import audio, arrange clips, set crossfades, and build your mix. Pro adds the ability to export: download WAV, MP3, and project files. Think of Free as a permanent sandbox.

Is my audio uploaded to a server?

On the Free plan, no audio ever leaves your browser. All processing happens locally. Cloud storage for project state is a Pro feature that is currently in development.

What audio formats can I import?

Any format your browser's Web Audio API supports — in practice this means MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, and M4A/AAC files all work on modern browsers.

How large can my project be?

Because processing is done in-browser, practical limits depend on your device's RAM. Most compilations of 10–20 tracks at normal file sizes work fine. Very large high-bitrate files on multiple tracks may run into memory limits on older hardware.

Can I cancel my Pro subscription?

Yes, at any time from your billing settings. You keep Pro access through the end of the current billing period.

Is there a team or multi-seat plan?

Not currently. Low-Fi is designed for individual creators. Team features are not on the near-term roadmap.

Will there be annual pricing?

Annual billing with a discount is planned. Sign up and we'll let you know when it's available.

My export sounds different from the preview — why?

Export uses Web Audio offline rendering, which can differ very slightly from real-time playback due to timing precision. The differences are typically inaudible. If you notice something significant, please report it.
